Srad mirror mount...

Hello everyone

Basically I want to get rid of the mirror mount because its ugly and gets in the way can I take it of or does it serve a different purpose than just supporting the mirrors ?

Thanks

Re: Srad mirror mount...

Yep it supports the fairing. You can replace it with a Harris screen brace for improved looks

Re: Srad mirror mount...

someone else fabbed a system up that wraps around the rear, the way it should have been done originally, if I had the shop I would make a bunch up and sell em on a non profit gig, might do that some day if I can find an easy way to bend themetal I know a guy that will weld em up lickitty split all I need is a welding jigg and a way to bend and shape the rod, the mirror bolt holes could just be cut off the existing brace..

This guy made one with brass rods, it looks easy to do and turned out pretty fantastic. Whole thread is very cool, actually.

Re: Srad mirror mount...

Harris is the only one ive seen other the race use screen brace. Which doesn't work with a headlight. I've seen the stock brace with the middle rod cut out.
