I came across the trailer for revengeance. it looks pretty wild! it seems to me they took a new approach to this game. reminds me of a fighting/adventure game similar to star wars the force unleashed and other games similar to that style of play. i think it looks good!
it is a very different style of metal gear. right now, i have metal gear 2 and 3 HD collection on my Vita and its pretty fun to play them. i cant play MGS3 to save my life though. i can barely get through the first area. the second you piss off some people, they will keep on you the whole time. i gave up playing. MGS2 is very difficult on a touch screen towards the end of the game when i am at the end of Arsenal Gear.
i find it to be interesting. its a very different spin on the regular tactical version of MGS series. i think it kind of defeats the idea of tactical movements like the other MGS games but i still think it looks good. i guess we will see how it turns out.
i think i understand what is going on here. the series is called "Metal Gear Rising" instead of "Metal Gear Solid" which means it is a different storyline within the main storyline.
The developers are the ones that made Bayonetta and the original Devil May Cry.
This game will NOT suck, it's just a different approach to MGS. And fyi, I know MGS1, 2 and 3 like the back of my hand, so it's not as if I haven't played the first 4 lol. I need to Platinum 4 but have no time right now.
Demo is up on Xbox Live (and I'm assuming also on PSN). Just downloaded and about to try it out.
EDIT: just finished the demo. This is gonna be a good one. Definitely a KICK ASS slash em' up. Just keep in mind this is not Metal Gear Solid, so don't expect it to be and you won't be disappointed, it's definitely its own beast. FYI, from what I've read apparently it's better on the PS3, which is fine by me since I've played all the MGS games on the PS3 platform.
i watched a video on IGN yesterday. if you pre-order, you get a code to use Gray Fox! you also get the Fox Blade which is supposed to be really bad ass from what the video said. i may have to pre-order.
just in case any MG fans were living under a rock, Gray Fox was an operative brought back to life as the original cybernetic ninja from the first MGS (before Raiden). a lot of fans really wanted to have him as a playable character. when they made MGS VR Missions, they let you play as Gray Fox in a couple of missions.
im thinking about getting it but i want to finish some other games. the other day, i traded in some games and picked up Red Dead Redemption, Halo 4, and Skyrim and pre-ordered Crisis 3 (which happens to launch today!). got a trade in bonus for reserving Crisis 3.

damn those guys lol! i did like crysis 2. i didnt play single player though. i was straight up multiplayer. this time around, ill play single player first. man, if you wanna play that game well online, you have to learn how to balance your cloaking and shooting at the same time.
