I didn't come here to get insulted by everyone. I get that enough.
And why do you think that is? Getting insulted a lot I mean? Purely coincidence or perhaps a byproduct of your actions/riding behavior?

Bear in mind that we are random strangers off the internet here. We aren't your mom and dad here to pat you on your head for a job well done. Let's face it, you posted a video of yourself riding completely irresponsibly on public roads capped off by tossing your bike and body off an embankment. Did you really think this was worthy of praise.
And naturally those of us who have experience with fixing bikes are not going to encourage you to try to piece together what is obviously a wreck of a bike. As you admitted yourself, I think you are feeling like your options are limited due to the fact that you have no insurance to cover the damage and think that this is going to be a less expensive route to take......it won't be.

It isn't
Just because someone rides a motorcycle doesn't automatically mean they are my lifelong confidant. On the contrary, most people I see riding motorcycles I'd prefer to have nothing to do with. The guys that I trade paint with on track and B.S. with in the paddock I consider to be great friends. The idiot doing wheelies up and down the highway I consider to be just that, an idiot, and nothing more. The fact that he's riding a motorcycle just makes me sigh because society somehow generally associates me with that type of behavior.

$3500 for a rebuild. My clutch line snapped and idk how Imma check the engine. I guess I'll get a new clutch assembly and see if she starts up. Do you have any suggestions for me?
This statement to me shows you do not have the skill to rebuild the bike yourself. It shows you dont even know how the clutch switch works or how to bypass it which most basic mechanically inclined people know. You don't want to get your mechanical knowledge rebuilding a totaled bike like this because you will not be able to figure it out.
Just like everyone else has said, its not worth it to rebuild back to street use. Your $3500 estimate is really low.
there is no way you can completely piecemeal this bike back together for $3500. you are completely ignoring a slew of miscellaneous costs that will come up. have you ever done any mechanical project of even close to this caliber?

Unfortunately as time goes on I feel LESS and LESS at one with any sort of "greater being" that encompases motorcyling as a whole.
Fellow track riders? sure. Most of them. They get it. And most of them when they get on the street, still get it.
Your average street rider? I more often than not find myself shaking my head in disappointment and wanting nobody to know I also ride because I dont want to be associated with teh average street moron making us all look bad.

What makes me so much more special. I thought the motorcycle community was tight like a brother hood, like all the people I've met. Gixxer.com is where you go to get nothing of what you want. If any one of you were to get into a severe crash, I'd be giving you 110% of my support to get back out there riding. But I guess not. To the people who gave me some helpful tips, thank you. To those who won't take the dick out of their ass, here's one more for your mouth, fuck the haters.
I guess I will state the obvious since everyone else is too nice and polite. First of, nobody gives a fuck about you or your hopeless rebuild. Second, how much penis has your rectum received from the law so far? How much are you projected to receive? I am pretty sure that is the only reason why people click on this thread.

BUDDY... That turn was a freaking Joke. You were in the wrong lane and crossed back over and didn't even attempt to lean the bike over. Seems like you gazed away, drifted into the other lane and then realized WTF.
I bet all your fellow rides thought it was pretty cool how you were passing them and then topped it off with the crash.
Sorry to see you crash and wreck your bike, but your riding skills limited your ability to come out of that mishap.
Oh and the sound affects were awesome!
Why do y'all have problems with the rebuild? You'd rather just give up and get a new bike. Well bike has been amazing and I don't want to see it get parted out.
Frame
Forks
Brake rotors
1 clip on w/clutch assembly
Radiator and oil cooler
Subframe cage
That's all I need to get back up and running. "That's all" lol.
Then I'll get a new gas tank cowl and bracket then the tank is good.
In time will come; all plastics, signals, stay bracket, gauge (the gauge cluster was detached and I put it by the swing arm while transporting it).
Plus I wouldn't mind having a project with a great prize at the end.
I'm sure there are people who would do what I'm doing.
is that it?? good then you should be on the road soon..

Ok...
I think that we're looking at this thread the wrong way.
First off, has RiceRocketKev learned his lesson? Yes. He's said so himself. With a lot of the mean spirited comments here along with the lashing he's receiving on his youtube video I think we can cool it. It's redundant, pointless and gets nowhere.
Second, we are confusing his request for help. The question he is asking is not: Should I ride again? Should I get a 600? A cruiser? Is it worth it to rebuild my bike? He has already made up his mind about rebuilding and that's his choice. He is asking for anybody with knowledge of bikes to help him out. If nobody on this site is capable of rebuilding a GSX-R or if nobody in this community is gracious enough to help a fellow rider out with 1 or 2 emails a month then i'm sure this site isn't what he thought it was. If you can't answer that call then move on to another thread.
Third, there could be a lot of potential to helping him out. Think about it. His video is getting tons of hits everyday on youtube. People, naturally, would be curious to see if he goes through with the rebuild. If you are a moto vlogger you can get more traffic to your page by him mentioning you were gracious enough to help him out. Or, if you or somebody you know owns or works at a motorcycle shop he could order parts exclusively from you (5% discount?) and mention your site in the vid.
It's not our bike and it definitely isn't our money so if he wants to rebuild then let him. If interested in helping him out just PM him and exchange emails or something. I've already subscribed because im curious to see if he actually does it. No hate here.
