I would be contacting the seller and asking for my money back. Sold as 17,s but actualy 16.5. That's dephently underhanded & believe me the seller knew what he was up to.

He's got a ton of parts in a small warehouse. He's not a rider so I don't know if he knows how to measure a rim. Lip to lip its 17 and 5/8. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment. Maybe I should run slicks

It sucks you got 16.5 instead of 17 but for the price, I would just keep them. Do they make a street tire to fit a 16.5?

I don't believe there's any 16.5 road tyres here in the UK, the few I know who use them on the street cut there own slicks. They don't last along time but they sure stick.

here in then uk,i have used n tec's as they do a race/road looking tyre in a 16.5

If i had a good option I would keep them. Im sure I could get away with an intermediate wet. I don't know if i feel like cutting groves in tires. On the other hand you can find these tires pretty cheap on eBay

yep the n tec's come pre cut,so can go straight on,ans they have tread that looks like a road race tyre

Ntec are a track tire and belong on warmers, you will never get them warm enough or keep them warm enough, and if you do, you will cycle them through too many heat cycles and turn them into crap.

You could use the Michelins just run a bit higher PSI and they will warm up, but like said prior, they will not last long, for me I could probably get a season out of them as I put only 1500km/900mi over 5 or 6 rides and they are a lot less expensive the DOT tire

^Thanks man, she my pride and joy and obsession! I thought about that screen brace for a while before I realized I was trying too hard. Over thinking it kills me sometimes. I'm sitting in the garage looking at the bike right now. I've got the one marvic wheel sitting in the swing arm, maybe if I wish hard enough it will turn into a 17.

Tons of rumours about those size dot tires but I cant find any. If its something i need to special order it would probably cost a fortune.
