Repurposing triples

I was kicking the idea around at work today of taking my triples into a machine shop and having them milled out from 41mm to 43mm. Has anyone tried this and has it worked?

Re: Repurposing triples

Easier conversion to 17' wheel. Switch from my stock to the 43mm forks, 20mm axle will be an easier swap, and takes some guess work out (I use the search function, half these threads start an idea and then never say what they did as a solution)

Re: Repurposing triples

Bad idea - there isn't too much material as it is, removing a mm all the way around is significant. Change to the newer triples instead?
