Re: Oil Cooled Picture Thread
Yeah, I disregarded any additional letters after 'butt' so it didn't loose anything for me. I still have a couple of those period Shoei helmets like hers but in red/white. Super light too.
I just finished restoring a 1988 750 with upgrades and thought I'd share a photo of it. I sold an 07 R6 to purchase it and fund the project. After riding it 500 miles over the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm glad I did it. It handles just as well as the R6 and has far more character.

Very nice .... I think that is one of the best paint schemes Suzuki has come up with ... In regards to character , the 86 thru 92 had it all .... I have no interest what so ever in anything that is any newer ..
Everyone tells me I wasted my money building my 92 750/907 .. Or my 92 1100/1340 turbo ... "Dewd , you're stupid.... Just getta Busa and be done with it"
Sorry, no character in that thing ... At least as far as Im concerned ....
ROCK ON MY OIL COOLED BRETHREN ... FEAR NOT THE GLYCOL INFUSED, FOR THEY HAVE ..... NO CHARACTER .... AND NO IMAGINATION ....
The exhaust is from Yoshimura. I cut and welded it until it had the up-sweep I wanted (simulating the endurance bikes from 89) . It wasn't hard to do. I hated the way it looked when I got it. The baffle looked like poop hanging off the back.

Here's a before shot
Good call...Wish I could find that exhaust for mine. It looks like my exhaust on my 1150 (wish I could swap lol). I see in the before pic you installed a solo seat too. I just bought a factory original and waiting for it to arrive (don't ask me what I paid, I'm embarrassed). There is what looks like a key hole at the top, any idea why?

Thanks,

A bolt goes through that hole to secure it to the sub frame. Really nice looking 1100 BTW!
Ah..makes sense thanks, my gs is a 1100 in the UK but 1150 here in Canada. Thanks for the compliment on her. After fixing it up over the summer I'm thinking about not keeping it. Just not what I thought it might be. Whatever that is. lol..
Some not so nice comments spouted on this forum. It would be courtesy to remember the old saying, nothing nice to say , say nothing at all. Quite honestly a 91/92 Gsxr 1100 was never a great handling stocker. As a matter of fact a stock gsxr1000 would eat it. If a person opts to slam his and stretch it so be it.
Be proud of what u have enjoy it the way u want it, and let others do the same.
Nice looking turbo bike bro!!! Always wanted a Sims and Rohm supercharged 1100, one never knows could happen yet, 1277 and 1340 still not in the bike yet. Hmn!!
