Australian Historic Titles

I recently competed at the 2012 Australian Historic Road Race Titles held at Eastern Creek GP circuit and picked up 5th place from the two race legs ,there were 16 entries in the P6 F750 class (1983 to 1990) with 2 OWO1's,2 RC30's,a VFR750 a ZXR750 ,a GSXR750RK and 9 GSXR750's from near stock to very worked. My old worn out GSXR750L #19 commuter with 230,000km with original motor managed to Qualify 4th and finish 5th against some genuine superbikes and quality riders.Unfortunately 1st place went to an OWO1 but 2nd through 5th were GSXR's.

Good stuff. Really enjoyed sus'n that.
It just goes to show, when a bike is ridden to full capacity it is always thrilling to watch no matter how old the bike is.

Keep up the good work.

How did you find the new section on that circuit? I hear they threw in a 40m inclination in the new section. It looked like you were handling it pretty well.

Thanks for sharing that

This event was held on the original circuit as for the new section we used it for the last club round and I took pole and 1st place they call it the South Circuit.I haven't been on the original plus extension yet but they use it for ride days often.

Yeah he's on a RK and pulls away down the straight but I close in around the back of the circuit but not close enough to pass, were actually good mates and he commented that every time he looks behind he says to himself not that f.....g 19 again. On a smaller circuit recently I had his measure but on horse power tracks it is much harder work for me.

Good stuff! Enjoyed watching that - thanks for posting. I'm going down to the Island classic with a few mates to spectate, so I'll come & say g'day. Unbelievable how well that thing goes considering how many Ks you've got on it.

Visitors are most welcome, myself and a few of my fellow competitors will be in the support paddock both in garages and Marquees that are being supplied to cope with the number of entries. The event is shaping up as the best ever. I also find it unbelievable that my bike not only still runs but can race at a fairly competitive level.
