Go with some contrast. I went with red.

Re: Braided Brake Hose Color opinions needed...

lol...the decision about two options was hard, now I have like 5....
Thanks to all for you inputs!
I never considered before the clear covered lines, but after your suggestions I'm looking more into it...I guess it makes a hardcore badass look...

Would you guys with clear covered ones be kind enough to post a picture of your lines in the bike, if that's not much trouble to you?
Thanks!

Hope these help? The other bike has the obligatory GSXR blue (matching tyre paint is on order ), it even HAD a gsxr cut out logo rear brake disc.

Clear is basically grey. Grey is boring.

Re: Braided Brake Hose Color opinions needed...

Here's some pics of the clear.

Don't mind the dirty dusty bike, last ride had a bunch of gravel and dirt roads. Haven't had a chance to wash it yet.

Looks like braided steel lines just way easier to clean.

Boring or not, I prefer clear..... They are brake lines not your helmet, they are function, not flair.

Re: Braided Brake Hose Color opinions needed...

If I was to buy new I would do just plain black. I have clear on my race bike now and the clear is starting to yellow a bit.

They are probably a few years old, they were on the bike when I bought it, but it's something to keep in mind.

Clear will discolour where ever they touch rubber, you must insulate them ie. electrical tape at those points

They don't touch rubber anywhere, they are just yellowing and dingy looking the entire length, I dont remember what brand they are but they are one of the big names in brake lines.

I have Goodridge lines since 99 on my bike, the only place they have discoloured is where they are clipped in on the swing arm and by the bracket up front where rubber isolators were used.
