I just bought another GSXR 600 and once again im going to repair it. Im going for the Black and red look on this one. I have ordered all the parts and im just waiting for the plastics to get in, So i thought i would post pics of the in between. Thanks for looking.
When i bought her home:
This is how she looks now:
I'm waiting on the plastic fairing kit i ordered from China. I sure home its not to bad. I'll make sure and post more photos when i get some one progress done. I'm going to be installing 6,000K HID's on this bike so i might put up a write up for that if i get a chance to take detailed photos.
i ordered some plastics from china before...never gunna do it again...the tabs peeled right off as i was puttin it all on...so now i only have the tail and front...hope u get the better end of it though...i like the headlight on it...are the lights on tht even bright enough for the streets.

Yeah i learned the hard way for ebay fairings. Never again. The head light, believe it or not, actually was bright enough. Its just enough to be street legal.
Looking at some of the salvage yards it mostly depends on the damage. Theft, water damage, etc. Someone before posted up asking about a certain salvage yard and they had new ducatis going around for 2~3k.
But with a salvage title everything is worth "less" in the eyes of buyers, insurance, etc.
@Pena, do you sell these project bikes with a salvage title or do you get them retitled in working order?

Copart can definitely be tricky with the salvaged titles and clean titles. it all depends on your buyers license. I go through my uncle to get these bikes and sometimes i can get clean titles for a decent amount. But the salvage go any where from 1k, if your lucky, to 3k or even 4k for yamaha. People pay way to much for yamaha so i tend to stay aways from those. I usually sell them after i fix them up, but i go through calif hectic retitle process and it still ends up a salvage title, but as long as the price it right, its worth it. Ive bought about 5 different GSXR from copart and only one has been a money pit, but im replacing the frame with a clean title and ill still be able to make some money off the bike which is good.
