Yoshimura Ignition Cover - Pipe Plug for Oil Pressure Sensor

Hi,

Any picture of the pipe plug used for the oil pressure sensor hole to fit the Yoshimura Ignition Cover will be highly appreciated (in a 750 89 Slingshot and/or 1100 87).

This to give me an idea how it looks like and what can I use instead.

just a brass pipe plug I believe. You can get them at Lowes, any NAPA, plumbing supply etc..

but remember it's most likely metric,,,if you're shopping in the US,,,should be pretty common,,you might check on the caliper pin plugs used of some bikes,,like Hondas,,,,they might be right,,,i seem to remember them being fine threaded metric,,

It is used to locate the drive gear for the starter clutch.

i had to machine a few of them and its a conical thread. you see it clearly when you look at the sensor. i dont remember the thread but i can check if you want

Well, sometimes what seems difficult is not when parts are searched in the right places.

Got the conical pipe plugs for USD 50 cents each. If anyone needs a piece I will be glad to help.

Not metric.
BSP mean for "BritishStandardPipe".
Imperial size with whitworth thread.

Google - BSP 1/8 is 9.73mm od/8.57mm id at 28 tpi (0.91mm pitch); metric 10mm comes in coarse(1.5mm) or fine (1.25 or 1mm pitch). Neither metric fine is exactly same but maybe the BSP is really the bodge for 10mm fine?

so whats wrong with just getting the proper metric plug,,,????,,,i can check my spare RK engine,,they come stock with a plug in there so you might be able to get one right from suzuki....

Sensor nipple od is 9.86mm and pipe plug od is 10.01 mm both on the larger conical circumference. Will get later the smaller conical circumference for both. At a glance thread pitch look quite identical.

Do you know a Suzuki dealer in Canada that can supply the item?
