1: all guns are loaded. Even empty guns are loaded.

2: never let the barrel cover something you are not willing to destroy

3: finger off the trigger until you intend to destroy something

4: be sure of your target and what is beyond it.


If those were always followed nothing and no one would ever be shot that wasn't intended. Ever.

To clarify, I (ignorantly) thought that a magazine was for a rifle ( the long ones ) and a clip was for a pistol. I looked up the difference.
