Rear Hugger
I was looking at rear huggers the other day, I was thinking maybe I should get one. Does anyone have any pros and cons to a rear hugger? And do you have some pics of your GSXR with a rear Hugger so I can get the look?

Re: Rear Hugger
Wow no one has any pics are comments about a hugger. I have done a search and looked thru threads.. I just need to see some pics and suggestions of brands...
I got the Hotbodies, but I'm not happy with it. It seems cheap and the fitment wasn't great. All the mounting holes lined up OK but one corner rubs against the swingarm. It's molded so that there's a portion of it that acts as a chain guard, so the original had to be removed. Also, after installation, it appears to be off center if you view it from the rear. The finish is nice but overall I give it
I'm gonna get rid of it and get the Puig, which is a little smaller, but looks better.

If you end up buying one stay away from the HotBodies... It's made of poor quality plastic, holes didnt line up during installation, and it broke after an hour of riding. At high speed it tends to bounce and the lip of it got caught in the grooves in my metzler m1 and exploded.
Geez, that sounds bad. I was thinking about getting the hotbodies undertail kit, but after hearing this its making me think twice.
I have a Powerbronze rear hugger, its a good fitment and the finish is nice. Matches the bikes body/lines well IMO. Its also available in CF which is good. But mine is black like my bike
If I was you go for the Puig if you can, if not the Powerbronze. Both are nice.
The hotbodies one looks ugly and doesn't match IMO

Re: Rear Hugger
Yea I am gonna go with a Puig.. I think I might invest in some Pazzo Levers first tho. After hearing nothing but negative things I might do away with the hugger idea!
I bought the one on ebay from PIT-ECK and it was horrible. It didnt fit for shit. They said the huggers are made to "trim to get a perfect fit"... More like trim, cut, mold, add filler, sand, prime, add more filler, finish, and then find out it still doesnt fit. The seller description says perfect fit. Then they email me with trim to fit. There is a shop by my house that has a puig carbon fiber one on the shelf and it looks like it was built alot better. They had an 04 600 used for sale and I set oit on there and it fit like oem.
my new pyramid hugger , looks sweet , clean shock & linkages , no real downfalls that i can tell cheers. BTW all holes lined up perfect , had oe chain gaurd removed and hugger installed in about 1/2 hr, qaulity seems good came with all hardware necessary no complaints bought online from AMC.com in Aus
minjayd do you mind taking a picture of your rear license plate assembly? it looks like your fender eliminator is utilizing the stock lights (something i'd like to do)
i'd appreciate any input you have on the subject. I've been interested in a rear hugger for my k5 for quite some time, yours is definitely the best fit / match to the body style i've seen in years
