My 97 gsxr 750 just developed a problem. It starts hard, but then will idle good on and off the choke(as it warms up). But when you touch the throttle it dies instantly unless you quickley let the throttle go. Just not sure where to begin. It started the other day.. ran good on the way to work then started hard and kept dieing after work. Thanks for all help. Russ

I just replaced the plugs, checked all 4 wires for spark, im getting good fuel pressure. Not sure if i may have bad gas of maybe a gunked carb. Any sugestions? When i get it started it runs good just unable to touch the throttle. The idle will go up and down with the choke lever from 1200 - 5000 rpm and sound ok.

So it just "did" this, not as a result of anything you changed?
If that's the case, I am going with a fuel delivery issue, be it a pump going bad, or a petcock issue, or a plugged pilot circuit in a carb /s.

Well pulled the carbs and clead them 2 times. Still the same issue. It will start and idle but when i just touch the throttle is dies out!!! just dont know where to go from here. In early oct. we replaced the r/r because it was not charging. We replaced it with a use one and every thing worked. Thats the only other issues we have had. Any help is greatly apreciated. Thanks
