I parked the bike at my dads house today for the winter. I get home, go out to the garage to have a smoke, and my 2 1/2 yr old follows me out.
I said "hey whats missing?"
He goes "what da heck?! Where bike dada?"
"Its at grandpas house for the winter"
He says "its otay, Santa bing u new one..he has to bing me toys anyways..otaaay?"
I couldnt stop laughing! So i ask:
-Is he bringin me a new crotch rocket?
-mmmm..no
-he bringing me a new Harley?
-mmm..no. papa has anuder one. He can bing me one too! VROOOOM VROOM!!
Kids are awesome...dont have any yet but me and the better half going to try, starting next year. We've been together for 9 years figure we arent getting any younger. Got all the toys we want so the only other thing to spend money on is a kid right...lol
I love most kids, I can't wait to have my own, but that's a ways from now. I'm only 22 and my dogs, full grown adults, even inanimate objects get on my nerves.
Our kids are really in tune with us, more than we are aware. My little man lives to do maintenance on my (more accurately, our) bike. It does put a lump in your throat to see them aspire to be you.
me and my wife haven't been trying (but also haven't been trying to prevent them either) but we are both ready for kids and would like to have them young so we can still be active enough to play with them when we are older

Made my day..lol
Enjoy these days they go by a lot quicker than you think. All 3 of my kids used to ride down the block on my gas tank because they were too little to sit behind me and put their arms around my waist lol. Spent many a cold Friday evening watching high school football.Would do it all over again. Now I cant get more than a grunt out of em when I ask a question unless my wallet is open.
Kids are great. My boys are always on me to take them for rides. My five year old daughter doesn't want to be left out either. She is content to go around the block a few times. But it makes her feel special. The boys are older, and they can't wait to get their own bikes to ride along.

I took my son for a "short ride" for his 2nd birthday. Theres a church with a big parking lot right across the street, so i put him up on the tank, told him that if he let go of the handlebar that he was done, and off we went. The look on his face was priceless...so serious-looking...like "yeah...im a badass" lol
He threw a fit when we had to get off. It started overheating lol

Re: God bless my son lol
Was putting some layers on today, in preparation for picking up ALOT of dead leaves in the front garden.
Thought i'd put muy proskins base layer, just to try them out, then put a few more layers on.
My boy said why you putting on so many clothes...I told him it keeps you warmer, having many layers, rather than one thick jumper.
I waited for him to respond....his response,"I don't care, i'm not going to school today."
That's awesome. My 2 year old is the same way. If I'm working on something he has to help. He was helping me change the oil on the bike one time and decided he was going to help me with a hammer. Stopped him just in time.
