Hi all,

I am trying to locate the temp sensor as the temp gauge just stopped working. There are two sensors running into the housing behind the radiator cap (under the tank) Is it one of those? And would the second one be for the fans?

If so, which is which and if not, where do I locate it?

Hi Hurls,

You are correct. The smaller of the two is for the temperature guage (pic). It has a small metal tab on it that is easy to break off...

If you take it out, be sure to have some teflon tape to seal the threads.

The larger one is to trigger the fan.

It think the cause of the issue is that the tab was broken off by a previous owner and fixed by a bit of dodgy solder work and some silicon.

Might be tome to try and locate a new one.

That will do it...

I snapped off mine a long time ago. Got a new (used) one off eBay for $10...the 1100 and 750 use the same part for this.
