Try looking up the part you need on this site. Usually they have good prices as well. Sometimes AutoZone and pep boys sensors/switches cause problems on Jeeps, try and get OEM or something comparable

U have the AW4. If it comes down to it pull the switch assembly off the tranny and click it to the neutral setting so u can get the jeep to start. The starter will now kick on in any gear so make sure your in park or neutral.

Ok, so I worked on it for an hour and couldn't get it off. I pried on the retaining nut as suggested in the link I provided and it seems to be stuck on the valve shaft and wouldn't budge. At one point the retaining nut slipped threads a little and from there on out I was worried I would damage the threads. I hit the threads and shaft with WD40 and let them soak a little but nothing. Any other suggestions on how to get this motherfucker off?
