This is why I laugh at people who jump at Hero 2 deals above $200.

They did not advertise the $199 Hero3 model during the press release and quietly released the $199 model on their website. That caused many to be unaware that there is actually a $199 model.

Thanks Pits, these GoPros have come a long way since the original.
I would def go with the Hero 3, so I can capture the sparkle from
every glitter provided from "yo glitter jeans"!!!!

The 200 dollar hero 3 is basically a hero 2 in a smaller package. From what I've read the h2 shoots better than the cheap h3. The black edition h3 is amazing though
