Calliper swap

Hey everyone, a question about the callipers on my k4 600 ,they work fine it's just that I prefer the black ones on the later models.i know the k4 has 300 mm discs but the k5 onwards has 310 mm discs,would this affect fitting or would I have to put spacers in( I'm guessing 10 mm?),or can I just put them on,they look the same just in black,cheers.

If you were to install larger rotors on your wheel and use the factory calipers, you would need to use spacers.

If you want to install calipers from another bike that were meant to fit a rotor larger than 300mm, which is what's on your bike, you will need to have the mounting posts of the new calipers milled down to fit. The exact amount of material that needs to be removed depends on the size of the rotors from the other bike.

Just pick up rotors from the same model year which you pick up calipers from. that would save you a lot of headaches I'd imagine.
