So here we are. Thanksgiving week and taking time to slow down and reflect on things we have to be thankful for: Our Freedom, the people, places and things is our lives, etc.
What is something a bit out of the ordinary that you are thankful for? Not just your bike, your job, your girl, or your X-Box.... But, something really special or different.

I'll speak up. I'm in the ER with our eldest daughter. She has a heart condition that we are trying to get diagnosed. I get choked up when I see my daughter in the condition she is in. But as long as I'm able to take care of her, I will.

Thanks. She is doing fine at the moment. It has something to do with palpatations and possibly neurological. She's strong and determined to find out what this condition is.
Thanksgiving doesnt really mean that much to me. Every day I make a point to be thankful for my God, country and family. Put those on top and everything else will fall in place as it should. Seems kind of silly to only do it once a year
I suppose if I had to pick something "not material" it would be that I am thankful to be out of the personal mess that I was in a few years ago. If I hadnt changed from then it would be a different story

I am sitting here in a cozy room typing onto a computer on a sportbike forum that I joined because I have a job that paid for what many people to be a luxury "recreational item". On thursday I will sit with my family and eat massive amounts of awesome food, then go home and pass out in my comfy bed. Might seem cheesy but that is daily stuff that I am thankful for.
I am thankful my Fiancee is moving to the UK with me to try and further our relationship and fix the issues we have, even though she has never lived outside a 50 miles area. Not many people can be a military wife.
Thankful that I still have my little brother to hang out with. After open heart surgery, liver transplant and a possible heart transplant I am very thankful he is still here to be my friend. As well, I am thankful for my close friends and family that stayed by my side in the ER for the weeks that I was there for my own misfortune.

Thank you for your concern. She's been diagnosed with Dysautonomia (or autonomic dysfunction). It is a broad term that describes any disease or malfunction of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The autonomic nervous system controls a number of functions in the body, such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestive tract peristalsis, sweating, amongst others.

The military trained/utilized and sent me wherever the mission required a 2S0X1. I met/worked with lots of different people from all over the world. It was a privilage to be accepted by this organization.

i am very thankful for my 2 daughters that i love very dearly. i am also thankful for all those who helped advance my career in the air force over the last 14 years. unfortunately, i am not home with my family. i am at the NCO Academy and gonna eat some lovely govt dining hall food for Thanksgiving. I know there are deployed members who have it worse than I and i am thankful for their hard work in the AOR. they will all be home soon!
