when are the ego's gonna have their accessories available?
One of the reasons I bought a GoPro. Not much in the way of updates or lead times for anything. The youtube comparison videos are nice tho seems like a solid unit. Couldn't belive how small they were when I saw them in person.

The only thing that made me steer towards the ego, was that it already has built in wifi. The new gopro has that too, but its also more expensive. Theyre both pretty solid units but the gopro definately has more accessories which is a big plus IMO. However, i heard gopro mounts fit the ego aswell, so imma go buy some today and try them out. I really hope they do.

I'll have to see if I can't pull up a pic of the base. It was my first choice as well then the price drop on the orginal hero dropped then lack of accessories turned me off. If they fit I'll more then likely sell my hero and get one of them. Send me a pm or something if it works out for you.
I've been using the ego's for a while now and love them. The suction cup mount will be out any day and it's only 20 bucks. You can get nearly two ego's for the price of the gopro and they have more features.

Well i bought some gopro accessories and even though they barely fit, you can tell they werent made to work with each other. The ego clip wont fit into the gopro's base unless you really force it in there, but then it wont come out unless you break it. The pieces that twist will barely fit too. So it can be forced to work, but id recommend you wait and buy the proper accessories for your specific camera.

Heres a picture of the bases. I couldnt get a better picture cus i glued the ego base to my paintball hopper. So i just put the gopro one right next to it to compare the sizes. The ego one is huge.
Then heres the rest of the accessories.
Pictures were taken with the ego, but it can take much better pictures than that. Heres two just for fun
did i mention the revolver throttle? hahaha on a side note.... is it possible to retain the "meter" switches after installing the revolver throttle kit? i know they make an aftermarket "start and kill" switch?

Not to hijack Mummy's thread but a minute or 2 with a flat file and your EGO will fit all of the gopro mounts. You can either widen the center groove in the EGO's clip or thin the center upright of the gopro clip and use it.
We didn't have to alter anything with the ego to fit it into the gopro mount. They use the same 1/4" mount? We use two of them on gopro mounts right now. Love the units.
The timeframe has always been nov.
