I recently survived hurricane sandy and feel pretty lucky about not losing more then some other unfortunate people. My garage flood a little and got to my GSXR. Even though the bike was jacked up it still managed to get to the lower portion of the header. It didnt reach the engine or flood my exhaust. I tried to start it and as soon as i pressed the starter switch it shut down. The headlights and dash didnt lite up anymore. I doo get a clicking noise, which is the some sort of relay under the backseat. At first i thought it could be a battery issue but it wasnt. I keep my battery tenderized. I also check at it read 12volts, but the funny issue is that when i try to start the bike it the volts goo down to 3 volts. Has anybody else had any problems similar? Or have any idea what is going on. Also before the storm i was getting the FI error but bike was riding fine.
Take the battery to get load tested, sounds like the battery is no good. It should not drop to 3V when you try to start it. Also, if you had the FI light, obviously something was wrong with your bike. Next time put it in dealer mode and pull the code.
