Track Day NZ style

took the boy (Chris) to a track day yesterday and entered him in the "have a go" class, this gave him some ride time on his 1985 750 as he does not have a full licence yet so is not road legal
The track was Levels just north of Timaru and is owned by the south Canterbury Sports Car Club, about 130 mile north of me.
Coming on to the start/finish straight

back straight

was get about 220km/h, hard to tell on a jap import

the only way to go Peter, a bit scary sending the lad out in the wet with only 4 or 5 km of experiance but he did well, he's a good lad not silly and it is the slow colours
the exhaust (stock) has had a debafle done and its very quite at speed.
would of had a go myself but my right leg is not right yet after the knee replacements, maybe in march at the next one.

Cost of track day, $50 entry, $35 to joint club for race licence and $100 in deisel for the motorhome blood cheap fun.(thats NZ dollars too)

Good stuff Pete, i've been to levels a couple times racing on the wee streetstock bikes years back. Never on the 750 though, super fun track!

Ahh, another sensational summers day in Kiwiland.

Good to see your lad having a go in those conditions; well done to him. Hope those knees of yours get up to speed soon Pete. Oz
