The advantage is that you don't have to use a press to get your carbs on
also it gives you a reason for a little headwork, you can have it port matched for the boots, not a huge difference but it will get rid of the little lip between the intake boot and port or you can go all out with the head, the 1100's really come to life from head and valve jobs esp if you oversize the valves a little, 30mm IN and 27mm EX if memory serves.
Do you have motor work done to your 1100??
41's are a bit overkill for a stock motor but they will work, 39's would be a better choice for a semi stockish motor.
If your buying new I would opt for the 39's unless your getting a smokin deal on the 41's.
