The idea is that you save money on the immediate purchase. Theoretically by the time the trans goes out you will have that money saved up. Instead of financing for a higher price now(for lower miles) finance for the lower price one and just budget in the cost of a trans down the road. You wont have to start "payments" on the trans till later. And when you do replace it, your truck will be better than the first lower miles one cuz of less miles on a better built tranny
And then you will have a truck with overall higher miles with the same amount of money put into it... Trans aren't the only thing that wear out...
On a diesel everything else besides routine maintenance is gonna last well past double that mileage. For a car to get 300k is an accomplishment. Diesel truck thats run of the mill
So yea. Then youd have a truck with the same mileage and a trans built however you want with 0 miles on it. Tell me how thats worse than buying the truck with lower miles to start and an older trans and having to pay more up front

What does it matter how much is invested up front? The overall investment is the same.
You are going to have the same amount of money invested in the truck and the truck is going to have more miles... If you don't see how that is worse then I am not likely going to be able to explain it to you. Will the motor more than likely be good for over 400k? Yes.. However the body, suspension, bearings, paint, interior, and everthing else on the truck.. Dream on.
Its a different train of thought if you plan on keeping the truck even after you have to replace everything and its a giant rust bucket.
I dont get how people can stay up this late by choice. Fuckin roommate is up playing video games and talking into his microphone thingy. Good thing Im rarely around on weekends
Fourwheelers running up and down the street bumping off the rev limiter.. Sounds like a damn motocross race outside of my house.. It is one in the afternoon.. Don't they realize people are trying to sleep. .
