Motorcycle: 1994 GSXR 750, finally getting proper parts painted, 1993 GSXR 750 project to rebuild

I have used two different cycle salvage places for my 94. Around Philly it was A&J and Sportcycle MC Salvage. They are pretty good to deal with except when calling they won't tell you if they have it or not. You will have to find that out when your there. Prices tend to drop in the winter time and hike up at summer time. But I have bought things from them and they all have worked pretty well. I would stay away from electronic components because most salvage yards have a no return policy. If I can't find it in the classifieds here next option is one of the salvage yards around here. Not bad prices or parts.

If your looking for complete bikes I know they sell them. They ride them but don't do a thorough check. At least around here they don't. They are sure to come with problems but nothing to major. I've seen a couple friends buy from salvage places and got great deals with minor fixes needed. Im sure you know your way around a mc pretty well. so just go over with a fine tooth comb and you should be ok. If I had the extra funds of consider it for sure especially if r titles aren't an issue for you. The ones for sale around here have r titles 90% of the time.
as far as i know the places around here sell with a regular title and not a salvage title our closest yard is about and hour n half away from me i might just go take a look one day
they have a yard which deals strictly with bikes in baton rouge LA. its about an hour and a half from me.
i stopped a driver this morning and while conversating with him he got to talking about an 09 busa that he just bought from the yard it was a theft recovery and the insurance wrote it off. anyway he paid $1700 bucks for it with a clean title (not salvaged according to the individual) and he said he had to put a set of clutch disc's in it and buy a new right side fairing. and that the bike runs like a sewing machine now.
this is what brought me to asking if any of you guys had ever had any dealing with a salvage yard. it almost seemed to good to be true at the time

Sounds too good to be true. A clean title busa with barely no damage for $1700? Wow. Go check it out asap. Beat to hell salvage title busas go for more down here.
