R-1 shock on 86 750?

Probabely yes since several of us use a 1100 linkage in their 750. U need to adjust the shock the same way as for the 750.

I think probably not as the standard length 1100 shock is 315mm and the R1 shock is only 300mm. Unless you want to reduce the rear ride hight by 30mm, it is not the one to go with.

Someone on here may have have some real world experience, where as I only can give you my opinion.

Ok yea I think the r-6 is 305mm long so it might just do but I have read some where a later gsxr 1000 might fit too more reading I think

i just did the 03 r1 on my 86 750. had to file the edges of the actual shock eyelet, and had the bushing turned down by a friend. it wasnt hard to get in.
have yet to rework battery box or anything to complete it all, but the swap was easy
