It looks too bulky and would probably stick out way beyond my liking... any other way to mount this bad boy without it looking like a mole?

Bumping this thread. Although I relocated my stock unit it just crapped out at about 9500k. I'm about to order the reccommend parts on page 1. I will let you guys know how it goes and if I run into trouble.

i have a k7 600 and believe that my rectifier is crapping out. Put a multimeter on the battery and shows 14.5 volts when running @5k. Checked the stator and its showing 65v @ 5k. Using the multimeter on the rectifier checking resistence all the plugs check out fine except for one leg on the 3plug if i remember correctly. I'm guessing the rectifier is bad, but why does it only act up sometimes?? I first noticed electrical was screwing up when i had HID's installed they would turn on and off intermittently. I figured loose ground but that wasnt the case. Put the halogen in and it worked, so i guess the ballast was protecting and shutting off when not seeing required voltage. Now when i ride at night the halogen seems dim at stops and then brightens up while riding but then dims while riding also. When a rectifier goes bad, can it still function? Or do they just not work at all anymore?
