Quickie
Trying to get my list of tools to look for on Black Friday. All our rulers are missing so wasn't able to measure anything. For a 2005 GSX-R 600, anyone know the sizes for the rear axel nut and front axel. Note that the front axel is an allen (innie) and not a socket (outtie).

Re: Quickie
I dont know the rear axle nut size, but I simply use a 12" Crescent wrench on the rear axle. been workin fine that way for the last 25yrs
I use this tool from Motion Pro for the front(it also fits swingarm pivot bolts on the frame as well)as has paid for itself many many times over

Re: Quickie
This should be on the top of your list:
Then you'll easily know the size of every fastener on YOUR bike and every bike you may own in the future - and even a cheap one will be just fine since all fasteners are in whole MMs - just make sure to get a metric one

Make sure it's a Fluke. Don't get a cheap multimeter.

Re: Quickie
Fluke are overkill for the garage mechanic. An Actron or even a Radio-Shack brand will do just fine.

36 mm and 22 mm
The Craftsman sockets in 1/2" drive can be had for $8 at Sears.

Re: Quickie
Much obliged. Precision calipers are on the list, and already have a multimeter after melting my R/R plug.
