I need bike stands and would definitely like to get Pitbull, but there are pretty expensive and kinda overkill for right now since I will be using the stands mainly for storage and maintenance.
I don't get it ... how is that overkill? You either want quality or you don't. I have Pitbulls stands and I have MJ Moto Gear stands, both for like 2 years now. I would rather store the bike with the MJ stands (which I actually do with my street bike) and do maintenance with the PB stands because the PB stands are considerably more stable.

Why do you rather store them on the MJMG stands instead of Pitbull if you have them?
What I mean by "overkill" is, yea I would LIKE to have the best for piece of mind knowing my bike isn't going anywhere on the stand, which I believe is the Pitbull stand . If the MJ Motogear stands will suffice, then I don't want to spend the extra money for just one stand. I was skeptical about how sturdy a two piece stand could be, but many have said it works just fine.

Two bikes, two sets of stands. The street bike gets stuffed in a corner under a cover for the winter, but the race bike is likely getting torn down for maintenance, so the one I am going to be working on gets the better set of stands. And to be honest, I'm probably gonna get a vortex rear stand for storage now because its really solid and the handle is detachable.
check these out this is what i have personally for the money IMO i don't think you can beat them. ive sat on the bike while on the stands my wife even bumped my bike with her car it rocked it but didn't knock it over while it was in the air

Just got a set of these my self and over all I'm pretty unimpressed with them. The mounting system they have for cameras and such is pretty neat.
But the metal for the stands feels cheap. Mine was missing hardware to assemble. The front stand my friend and I had to spread apart after having to modify the springs to even get the retaining clips to go into the holes had to file out the one side to get the the piece to slide in. After 3 hours in the front stand the pieces that holds the front end up are already resting on the rotors "Before I stretched it you couldn't even get it on the bike.". I wouldn't buy them a 2nd time if I had to.
Im pretty sure you saw this is the "knee draggers" thread over at bb.com. I ordered them and they just got here yesterday, havent had a chance to put together but for the price with that code and free shipping couldnt top it.
My track bike has no kickstand. It stays on the stands unless I am riding it or its in the trailer, except for this one time at the track, when I wasnt riding it and it wasnt on the stand. It was laying in the grass and I was standing behind a gaurdrail
The sizing is identical to the Shoei RF1100. I can barely tell when I swap helmets after a few minutes (other than on track.. I can tell a big difference on track)
