For blue collar people out there, has anyone found anything better than Carhartt gear? it is pretty much all I buy now, but Im needing a new pair of biberalls this winter and they are just so gall dang expensive. Only thing Ive ever had go bad was the zipper on jeans once.(blew out when I got tackled) and they replaced those for free.
Like I said, I swear by their stuff because its always had the best quality to me compared to others. But Im tight budgeted now, and if I can get a pair of bibs w/out paying $100+ it would be awesome. As long as they last

Anybody had good experiences with other brands?
Can you repeat that in english instead of Wiscanadian?
Yeah, the Walls stuff is pretty good for the $$$. I've got a pair of the insulated bibs and they've been pretty durable, but I only wore them regularly for a couple of years. I haven't been working outside for the last few years so I didn't get to put as much wear on them as my previous Carhartt bibs. I did actually like the Carhartts better, but mostly nit picky stuff. I still managed to walk through briars, cross barbed wire fences, etc. without tearing them up and they were warm.
Ive tried a few other brands (if my wife went shopping for me)but I just spend the money&get the Carhartts. I got a pair of insulated bibs&their heavy outside jacket when I started as an apprentice back in '92. The jacket lasted me until 4 years ago and I STILL have the bibs. The way I see it is we work outside in the elements&are only as comfortable as our clothes allow us. I spend top dollar on boots, clothes&tools since those are what keep me going at work& put food on my table.

I'm guessing the knees are what wears out the quickest?

I think that was a poor attempt at a joke... But in case you were seriously wondering, no. The old pair I had was actually a hand me down from my grandpa. Was a one piece suit and the side seem finally blew out
Which leads to another thing. You guys prefer bibs/jacket over a one piecer? Im thinking thats the route Ill go since I already have a jacket. But out of curiousity
Yeah climbing is eventually what got mine. Ill probaly end up going to try on all the cheaper priced brands and then get carhartts lol. Probaly will just look for a sale or Carhartt outlet store
