you guys don't know all your SRAD riders on that little island? I know all riders in the pacific northwest and the bikes, cept that dood on the bandit 1200 who kept calling my bike a "hayabusha" I dunno him, his rear brake was smoking, I asked him if it was stuck or something he says no its just cuz he brakes a lot in the city, I asked him if his fronts had a problem, he says no he just doesn't use them, I ask why, he says just habit from his last bike, I ask what that was, he says he used to have an "intruder"
all I could do was shake my head and say well when the rear goes out I suspect you'll grab a handful of front right? he says yea but thats pretty dangerous..
it was funny watching him put that thing up on the center stand, hilarious, and they call me a squid...
^^^ that's cos there as cheap as a Mars bar and the most are in dire need of attention.
That's the criteria I buy my bikes. First bike cost £200 cost another £200 to put on road. Second bike cost £1300 needed nothing doing although it has had a full restoration in the 3 years I have had the bike. Second cost £900 and is undergoing a full restoration. Carbs done brakes and bearings next followed by suspension. Then track days
you guys got some nice ones, low dollar too, that one with the horrific paint?
was a gem of an SRAD, real clean too, low mile 750 carbed, you just don't see many like that in the states..
plus you guys get a lot of bikes we never see, 4 hunnerds and stuff, we never got any of the good two stroke little weights either, 2 fiddies, 125s, totally different over here..
it seems to be a totally different mindset when it comes to bikes in Europe, more club racing, more circuits big and small, look at Spain alone;
3 street circuits
4 inactive circuits
Spain is about 3/4s the size of Texas and they have that many courses, crazy
The UK and Ireland is pretty sorted for tracks. Plenty of permanent race tracks followed by even more test tracks(old airfields) plus the road circuits in the isle of Mann and Ireland. There has been a ban on road closures on the mainland for years that's why there no road/street circuits. The last one was in Birmingham and that stopped being used years ago
I still have my aprilia rs125 full power. Some thing about the powerband on a 2stroke that's really addictive. Running about 30bhp and only weighs 129kg. It goes round corners as quick or quicker than the srad it just loses out on straights
