If TC and ABS are what decide what new bike you are going to buy, there is no hope for you honestly.
If midrange (as you just suggested is your desire) is your benchmark... the 2012/13 Suzuki is pretty much top of the mountain...
Of the big four only the honda comes close in midrange, and only the Kawasaki beats it on top.
and both BARELY. So "barely" that some tuning which most people will do anyway pretty much negates it. The Suzuki motor is the best all around of the big four, easily.
And the tiny diferences in power are such that I would bet you would never actually notice the difference when riding.. not unless you are a top racer in the nation that is... are you? I doubt it.
None of them have come out with anything ground breaking honestly. Tehy all have strengths and weaknesses. None are perfect.
So lets be honest. You arent looking for the bike with the best performance. YOu are looking for the bike you can stand around and brag about what they magazines CLAIM has the best performance

. "Oh yeah, well my bike has traction control, abs, a coffee maker, GPS sat nav, and it transforms into an autobot when nobody is looking".

....... fuck all that. The GSXR is a damn good bike. Just as good as the other three when you take the entire package together for the average rider.
