I can weld a much larger difference than you can have in a rivet hole and it be effective. Rivets are nearly a press fit

This entire pipe I stacked butt welded. That rubber expansion is the only flanged part. This is the finish me sealing the bottom of the tank.

I don't build them. I fix them. I replace bad sections.

Apparently the body shop guy already looked at my truck. My buddy that had his brother's pick it up called his guy and he checked it out. He says that he thinks he can have it fixed without having them total it out
I spoke to him just now and he was cool as fuck. I'm going to drop it off tonight.
