Thoughts/opinions on paint? : Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums: Gixxer.com

I will be repainting my bike this winter, and I'm already starting to get parts to do so (thank you cobra for the clean tank on the way). But my dilemma is......what color combo to paint it? Here's what I've thought so far:

Flat black with either blood red metallic/midnight blue metallic accents
Gloss onyx metallic black with the same^
Clean stock white/blue
Burnt candy apple red all around

And I was thinking black and gold.....but that would look odd with polished chrome I think.

Ideas? If you have other ideas than feel free to throw them out there, I'm not really picky, I'm looking for unique.

Nice. Mine already has a light pearl color to it, so I'm assuming its been repainted once. But if I stay stock I'd like to have the same paint that's on there now.

I personally woundn't go black. I painted my last bike black and regretted it the day I sat on it after it had been in the sun. Blue would be nice.

As far as chrome goes, you can always have your chrome parts anodized or powder coated gold.

Painted mine dark red and off white. After i put some fairings from an 04 1000 on it. Gonna redo it this winter in green candy, white pearl and black. Need to repaint it because it got scuffed up on the trailer during the trip to Myrtle Beach lat May.

Just painted mines white pearl with black ascent plastidip. Plastidip is covering the white pearl just I case I get bored with the look

Honda used a color from 96-98 called vogue silver metallic. ide suggest that with black accenting so long as you keep the black simple and dont go overboard.

im doin it this winter, as well--im thinking dark gunmetal/maroon with a white pinstripe wherever the two colors meet--need a little nod to the white wheels!

Dude, I love your slingshot, seriously, but someone went to a whole lot of effort to uglify that exhaust.

Lol..tell me about it! I bought the bike a month a go and did the the decals last week. I am on the hunt for new Exhaust. It is uuuuuuugleee

if you have heat issues better off taking it apart, cleaning it up and having it ceramic coated

I think, if you could swing it, do metalic midnight blue with both matte and gloss black..

My gsxr is in the process of getting done right now. midnight purple and matte white.

You need to check out Vauxhall/Opel midnight blue. Its a pearl that is blue by day black by night. Had it on my Vauxhall calibra awesome colour.
