anyone know about oil fed cam tensioners?
the 00 740 section is dead so i figure id post this here. on my 00 750 it has the oil pressure type of cam chain tensioner. once the bike warms up it tends to make the timing chain whine a bit. i think the oil press gets too high, i took it apart today but it basically consists of just a spring and oil press line so there is no where to turn it back a bit like the older gen tensioners , is this gonna harm anything or should i just leave it go? its not whining very loud but its def a new noise that was not there before and im not sure why . before it used to have a bit of chatter from the tensioner until the bike warmed up and then it would get quiet, now its quiet from the start and after about 130* i get a bit of whine coming from the chain. ???
