i have a 1 year old niece who earlier this year was attacked by a pit. it bit her in the face and she had to have her face surgically reconstructed. at the time she was only like 7 months old.

Sorry about your niece but breed was irrelevant
actually pits are naturally more aggressive than other breeds of dogs...im not saying all pits are bad by any means, I've met plenty that are really good dogs. and even in their defense, this dog was only half pit and besides this outburst it was a very good dog...nobody saw it happen but we think she grabbed the dogs toy and the dog just lashed out at her.

I was a dog trainer for 4 years to get through college. I used my pit in the picture above this post for my training classes and he is therapy certified... I got bit by more fucking chahuahua's that drew blood than you could imagine. breed is irrelevent. JUST LIKE PEOPLE...its how they are raised.
