Doubt you can find them at this point, but toe warmers are teh awesome. for future reference might want to stock up.
Yeah. I am gonna have to revise my "kit", I have plenty of non-perishable food, batteries, LED lanterns, flashlights and stuff like that, but our supply of D batteries was not enough, the lanterns started getting dim as of last night.
But after this I realized we need some stuff to keep warm, hand and toe warmers will be in the new kit, as well as a .40 cal and some ammo. Also will be keeping the gas containers full at all times once track season ends. I learned a lot from all of this, I thought I learned a lot last time, but obviously not enough.

The good thing is that you live to fight another day. I would take your own advice and build your "kit" back up as soon as you can.
Oh I will be. I am not gonna run out right now and stock up on D batteries because they are still in high demand and I dont want to buy for my kit when there are people that really NEED them.
What about some of those glow sticks you break as well? Not sure how long they last or how expensive but might be worth checking? Also, kerosene heaters too?

They are nice to have and they last well over 12 hours.
Kerosene heaters are good too, you just have to watch out how long you have them turn on and how good of ventilation you have because of carbon monoxide.
Yeah I am going to look into other methods of heat. I am very weary about CO, last year we were doing a lot of cooking and boiling water and stuff and the stove set off the CO detectors.
Damn Rich! Ruff week. At least there was something to be learned and you know how to prepare for the next one. Sucks you guys are getting hammered like that with weather. How much snow did you get?
About 7-8 inches here. Some southern towns got up to 11-12. Usually south Jersey gets it easy compared to the north, but this time it was the other way around.
