Armi maplins do a special automotive insulating tape. It seals together to make a water proof barrier and as it has to be stretched around the loom it holds it all nice and tight.

Took my Mazda B3000 in for an inspection today. It was taking longer than expected so i peaked into the garage. The techs where fiddling with my gas cap saying they couldnt get it to fit in the pressure tester. I took a look to find they somehow jammed the locking tabs out of alignment and the tabs wouldnt budge.

The cap was an OEM 1/8 turn ford equipment and was working fine before i had the inspection. I can only guess they thought it was a full turn cap and tried to force it.

The tech walked across the street to buy shitty universal gas cap to allow the inspection to pass.

When the bill was due I demanded them to replace the cap with OEM Ford parts. The tech was not happy about this and said he would have to pay for it out of his own pocket. I held my line and the tech agreed.

May seem a bit harsh and not that big of a deal, tough shit, the tech shouldnt be working at an inapection shop if he doesnt know how to work a gas cap! So here I am waiting for the tech to call back so I can go pick up the OEM equiptment. rant off/

Took my rim in to get a new tyre yesterday, waited 40 minutes for it to get done to instantly give it back to the "mechanic" who put it on backwards, another 60 minutes later all was fine....

Honestly how hard is it to see the big ass arrow for rotation direction?

I can understand the time it took, they were a little busy, but over an hour n half for a 10 minute job?
