looks as good as a powder coating what kind of paint and prep? did you use an etching primer or? think it will hold up as good as a powder coating?
someone polished part of my frame and swingarm and it ruined the look IMO, I like the stock look much better if its clean, thought about powder coating every thing but its spendy
The paint i used is a single stage enamel with a ceramic additive. This makes for a extremely durable finish. Almost as strong as powder coat for half the cost!. i love the semi gloss look of it as well...also no primer needed...it bonds extremely well.

do you mind divulging the product name? at the very least I need to paint my top clamp which I tried to do already with an aluminum wheel paint but it flaked so i stripped it down again had it all nice and clean then my tank bag strap got this black crap all over it, looks like you know what..
what I really like is how my 2k51k top clamp was done, its a lot like the SRAD top clamp cept they brushed the top area then used some sort of black matt paint or whatever that goes on very very thin so you can almost see the metal..
it looks very nice against the brushed aluminum..
say what you will about Suzuki thier fit and finish is some of the best I've seen from any manufacturer, they find simple and cost effective means to finish their product and EVERYONE in the industry always seems to jack something from them
first it was the extruded frames which I still highly regard, that nice extruded aluminum against the cast spars is very clean and a nice finish..
on to some of their paints, OK OK they have had some bad one and my 2k51k black yellow started chipping off real fast but Suzuki put new panels on it free of charge..
but my 2k2busa black/blue had some of the nicest finish you will ever see on a sportbike, on the heavy side? yes, but when you hit it with the plexus man look out it looked like water and the fluid styling?
just one of the reasons I like Suzukis so much, they always seem to be at the front, when and if this economy is restored I suspect Suzuki will be back on top bigger and better than ever, they just have that spirit and have always made the best sportbikes in the world, just ask anyone that works on motorcycles for a living...
I got my rear wheel painted to check the color...will have it sand blasted and will have them powdercoated...what do u guts think?..pretty close to the cgr color .
I will mock it up and get your guys opinions! thanks for looking

maybe bring the lever in to the powder coater and see what they think?
anodized rear set and guards would be nice, wonder if the latest gen stock adjustable sets off the 1000 would fit, those would be nice anodized as well with the GSXR guards..
Im going to get some anodized gold rear sets when taxes get back..so thatll solve the rearset problem ..haha. and yeah i have a powdercoating setup...the wheels will barely fit in my pc oven...thats the biggest part i can fit in there.
