Nothing is static. Also think of the exit in smaller sections. Traction is only really an issue on the edge and first part of the drive. At that point I'm still back and hanging off. But not far into the drive I'm wide open already (early enough that if I reached really hard I might could still touch knee) and swinging upper body back into the bubble and pushing down and back on pegs for grip and starting to slide up on bike to hold nose down.
Basically last half of exit drive is the only time I'm forward on the seat. And not always then.
OK, cool. Thanks for clearing it up on your end. It seems as though ToeJam might have a diff style than you? Im interested to hear his POV on it. I love how diff people can have diff styles of riding that work for them and still go fast as shit. There are basics that need to be followed of course, but after that its whatever works for you. Love it.
It seems for 2013 I will switch to a CBR600rr 07. It comes prepped as a race bike and has a lot of good bits and parts (STM slipper clutch, Cordona quickshifter, PC V, race pipes etc.). My 02 Gixxer still has excellent suspension (Ohlins front and rear) but apart from that in all honesty cannot keep pace anymore with the newer bikes. I would stay with a 07-08 Gixx' if I were to find one, but they seem to be harder to find than CBRs in Europe.
Just a few of mine. I may not be dragging knee but as many have told me and I still stand behind, you don't have to drag knee to go fast. However with that, I am no where nearthe fastest guy. I'm just out having fun
