I was watching tv tonight and there was an event in England. Everyone kept cheering "Who are ya? Who are ya?" as some sort of taunt it seemed. WTF does that mean And why was it so smokey in the arenas. By the end of the show there was a definite haze on every camera angle. Are you guys allowed to smoke in there or is the ventilation just bad and it was pyrotechnics. It was indoors. These questions come up every time a watch a show over there

It would help to let me know what sort of event it was?
'Who are you?, who are you?' is normally used to take the piss out of somebody or a group(usually football) who think they are better than they are.
For example fans of football team Manchester City might spend half the season chanting and singing about being the Premier league champions, then in one match get beat 3-0 by a team they were expected to beat easily, the opponents will chant 'who are you? who are you?' because the city fans are sulking and not singing and chanting.
Whilst we are not allowed to smoke indoors, at an event(especially if alcohol is involved) if a person does set a flare off and somebody accumulates an usual amount of sand in their vagina and starts complaining about the smoke, they normally just get suddenly and repeatedly kicked in the head until they shut the fuck up.

I'm guessing "set a flare off" means lighting a cigarette? I never heard that term before. When I first read that I was wondering why the hell someone would light off a flare at a game! I'm picturing Cainy & his buddies with railroad flares over their heads at a game.

Sorry OF I was struggling to wake up this morning, I was referring to lighting a cigarette. Occasionally you do get people lighting railroad flares, but I don't wear them on my head

That's exactly what I pictured when I first read your post! I'm figuring Cainy & his friends are fucking crazy!

Were you watching this on a music channel or a sports channel . That would help a lot . First thing I thought of was a Who concert .
