No, you won't drop it. Most tracks will only allow you to ride in a beginners group...meaning you take it nice and easy, and you follow an Instructor in a Bright orange vest.
(of course, some tracks will let anyone In...so you don't know "who" you're mixing with. Sometimes they will only "rent" to groups.)
If you're in a beginners group....
You won't even see high speeds, it's more of "getting the feel" of the track.
And you slowly progress and get used to sharing the track with others.
It's still very fun...because you get to Lean! lol
Also, make sure your bike has no oil leaks or other safety hazards, because you must go threw inspection before they allow you on the track.
Also, check the requirements of "clothing/gear", for beginners class.
They are usually pretty easy-going.
(minimum of boots, mesh pants, textile jacket, gloves, DOT helmet,etc...usually anything over Beginners require full leathers...you get the idea.)
(BTW: I used to work at NJMP, and that's how "they" did it, every track is slightly different.)
