making my own petcock
Hey guys, found some plumbing supplies I could use to make a pingle style petcock,.gonna make a plate to bolt it to the tank tomorrow at work but here is what I have so far. Let me know what you think. Its gonna be considerably shorter when its completed, this us just what I came up with.

Added weight for stability in the corners? Either way, it's shiny and I like it.

Only cost about 17 bucks, I work in a fabricating shop so making the adapter plate should be easy as pie

Cody, if it works, go for it.
Should be a cheap and reliable solution to your petcock problems...I would make sure there are no plastic pieces that could react with the gasoline though.
Would be interested to see the clearance with your contraption...

Cody you can make a smaller set up then that if you want to order some 1/4" NPT brass fittings. You can get a 90 degree 1/4" NPT ball valve which will save a significant amount of space
