Great job on the lower cooler. I like the fitment. I would have installed one there but this build is going to be correct as possible, so I opted for the two larger coolers mounted in the higher location. Just as yosh did back in the day.
The header should be done here in a week or so, I'll post pics of the work when I get it all together.
The build has been slow. Moved out east, sold the business and now I'm working with GMD Computrack Boston. Spent the summer racing at Loudon and doing a lot of chassis work/setup.
The GSXR will be completed this winter. So I'll keep you guys posted
I can't see how the gsxr upper fork tubes don't contact the outer cooler at full left/right travel to the steering stops. Is the lower clamp steering stop changed from the stock location to prevent that? I've been trying to find a location for a second cooler out front and have that interference
There was one and only one spot to put the coolers. The trick was in the yoshimura headers they used one the race bikes back in that day. They had an aggressive downturn and primary that where narrow at the port and wider as they moved further away. I think they where going for a Bernoulli's thing there.
After mounting the coolers with the brackets I made. I had to modify the Hindle I had header to fit around the coolers, giving them more downturn off the exhaust ports. I'll get pics up in a bit so you can see. But a lot of work, no doubt.
Ahh I see, I think. I kinda thought the outer cooler may have been lower that stock but from the picture angle I couldn't tell. Thanks for the clarification.
You are now located in the heart of Irish country. When you move, you don't mess around!
Still a long way to go, but I have been making progress over these cold winter months. i plan to complete by spring, next step will be plumbing in all the coolers.

Hell yeah and going out of the bowl up thru the trees (doh) and then hard left downhill. Pretty awesome actually. Gotta watch 2A it can get ya, I highsided there and broke a collar bone. ugh. Racing there on an FZR400 is really fun
