That's cool, and I get it, but I had quite a laugh reading whiny sounding comments about someone whining. The money you spend at races goes to support what he does for a living, true, but if that's going to be a talking point you shouldn't buy products from the manufacturers that sponsor him: Honda, Redbull, Repsol etc. Spending money going to races indirectly supports him, and directly supports the sport. I am by no means a huge Stoner fan, but the man can win races, which in my opinion is 'manning the fuck up and doing his job.'
The kid is 26 and reached world-champion level twice already. It's hard not to have a swollen head with all that fame and success.
Idunno. I'm much older now and look back on me in my 20s and at how I could have handled so many situations with more grace and class. Basically, as you get older, the filter between your brain and your mouth develops more and more. Some people take longer but it doesn't mean they're intentionally trying to be assholes.
When Rossi came to him and apologized for taking him out, that was a pretty douchey comment he made but I'd bet he meant for it to be funny.... didn't sound funny though.
Casey can RIDE, maybe the best ever - on today's bikes at least. He's a pretty serious fellow and probably OCD which may be why he is always focusing on what's wrong, not what's fun. Not a great interview subject. But his comment to Rossi after Casey was submarined by him was appropriate, accurate and a classic - Rossi's ambition (ie aggression in this case) did outweigh his talent. My view.
