thanks also it has 20k miles what kind of maintenance should i do or get done to keep it running good ? shop quoted me 400-425 for full service is that alot?

Download a service manual and get to it. Have valve clearances been checked, if not you should have that done as they should have been checked around 14,500 miles.

For me, yes that is a lot, but I have never had a dealer touch a bolt ever on any of my bikes....So I guess really wouldn't know. Definitely get a manual like Sam said and try to at least do the easier stuff yourself, and save yourself a bit of coin.

Ok thanks guys. So is 20,000 miles a lot and how much longer can I expect the bike to last?

If properly maintained and taken care of, you could expect to get another 80,000+ miles out of it. There is a CBR that has over 200,000 and counting. Sadly, most of these bikes are crashed long before they reach any kind of mileage.

20k miles isn't a lot, i've seen sportbikes with double that. It just depends on how well you take care of it.
