I've seen that colour scheme before, but only in images on the internet ... and in books/magazines. It's a pretty rare pattern, and not everyone's favourite - for sure. I think it looks pure 80's... the kind of bike you rode down to the beach. LOL
The black & gold, or often referred to as the "Jubilee" model '87 750, was actually quite a decent but simple design. Sure... a black bike, not much substance... but there are times when I've actually seen primed fairings and thought that they looked so pure without colour sprayed on them ... no decals. Just like a model out of a box. Yeah - simple & clean is sometimes the best way to go.
Well... considering the 1st gen 750 colour-scheme (above) came before the 91 750 scheme... I would re-phrase that by saying the 91 750 looks alot like the early version '87 750. ('87 came before '91 ... yeah?)
