In the STUPID cold (like mid to low 30s) you just have to be aware of that the tires will get worse as the session goes on, but they still grip pretty good. Good enough.

Actually when I am coaching it sucks the worst, because then I am not getting warm. I FREEZE coaching .
Hey, hi, coming out of left field here. But could you explain this? Cold weather gives you better grip?

Not what i said at all. I said it gives better grip than you would expect. Not better than warmer weather.

"Perfect" is usually about 80 and sunny. But I've gone stupid fast from 35-110 degrees lol.

I just thought when you said you bested your personal best by 1.7 secs and "there is that much grip" it meant grip was even better. My bad.

My old personal best was a year ago or so. Weekend after opening weekend for college football.

I won the race then as a novice 1.7 better per lap was only good for 6th as an expert lol

Just a little bit .

At Miller I placed 15th in one race. I was lapping at 1.5 seconds per lap faster than the dude who won the novice races that day.

I had never been there before... and had about ten laps of practice.

HUGE difference .

My times last year as a novice were superstar laps. As an expert going FASTER im struggling to place top five and only had one podium all year.
