The tire wall wasn't even a speedbump. That thing was FLYing across the grass.

Unlike a bike going off-road at high speed, these things don't appear to slow down very much. A bike would have come to a stop 1/2 way across the infield!

Big rig racing was very popular in the 70's, don't know how popular it is today but it's still done.

At least the trucks in the first video appeared to be small, modded 'racing trucks' and that guy WAS hauling ass... across the grass
