hey, where does this hose go?

I have a 91 GSXR750, and recently installed a 90 750 motor. I notice that the far right (when sitting on the bike) carb boot has a hose that comes out of the top of it, about 12 inches long.

Yes, I should have remembered to check this when I pulled the motor, but I did not.

Where is this supposed to go? Is it some kind of overflow? Attach to the petcock?

Thanks in advance, mark

Re: hey, where does this hose go?

I should add that I think it goes to the airbox, but now I am using K&N pods, so should I just dangle it down with the battery overflow or something?

Re: hey, where does this hose go?

if the hose is going to the intake boot, it's likely for the vacuum operated petcock. if you have a non-vacuum petcock on the tank, you can just remove the hose and cap off the opening on the intake boot.

Re: hey, where does this hose go?

Beauty, you come through again. I have a stock petcock with the 3 spigots on it, so I will apply that one to the correct one on the petcock, and I should be in business.

Thanks for your continued excellent input.
